What's Inside...
WOW... the past couple of months have been sooooo busy with all the toy runs, so many in fact that Biker Living didn't even get to all of them ... but we've filled the pages of the Jan/Feb issue with photos from about eight of them I think, thanks to those of you who sent in photos and write ups... there's a zillion pics, just little ones, to remind you of the great time we all had and what we all do for the community... you are the most amazing people I know... Central Texas Bikers... YOU ROCK!!!
This little 10yr old girl, Kylie Reagan... has an incredibly rare disease, for which there is no cure... Psuedo Cerebral Tumors is an abundance of fluid that travels up the spine into her brain, causing unbearable headaches, affecting her vison, hearing, memory... but she's a trooper... she's been through two shunt surgeries to alieve the pain but her body has regected both, a third is planned very soon... she takes a shot once a month which helps some, the shot alone cost $1300. Kylie's parents, Josh & Karlie Reagan, are in desperate need of help, due to medical expenses and medication costs, they are seriously concerned about losing their home but even more concerned about their daughter's future... once the Companeros MC/Marble Falls heard about this and met Kylie... they were hooked... she has an amazing warrior spirit for such a little girl, she refuses to be anything but 'normal' and they wanted to help out in anyway they could... The Companeros MC/Marble Falls held an event Dec 19th, bikers rode to Leander TX, from as far away as Corpus Christi, Houston, Austin etc to help support their efforts... which raised enough funds to help with a couple of those shots. We've also filled a few pages with some great information on the US Defenders Program... that was initially begun right here in Austin as the Texas Defenders but spread like wild fire to more then half the country now and still growing... if you don't know what the US Defenders program is about, be sure to grab a copy of Biker Living and read up... and check out the events pages too... January 17th there will be an educational training session for the U.S.Defenders, for all of you to attend... everyone is invited, everyone with a pulse and a care about their rights, as bikers and as Americans... please attend!
