I love this one sent in from: Suds- Texas Commander C.O.I.R

"A stick of crackers in the saddlebag, and a large can of chili with 2 large hose clamps holding it to your front exhaust pipe. From the store to the next rest area, it should be plenty warm. Point it away from your face when you poke it with the trusty John Wayne can opener while you're holding the hot can with a grease rag. Oh yeah, one other detail. Peel the label off the can before clamping it to your pipe."

I just wanted to share his 'recipe' with you, so you'd get an idea of the fun we could have with this... any recipes, reviews of roadside eateries or just fun stuff like this works... thanks so much!

Hey there... wanna have a bit of fun with us?

We're creating one of those ol' fashioned fundraising cookbooks... you know, the kind your mom & grandmom have in their kitchens that their bingo club pulled together? Yup, we're doin' it too... AND donating at least 70% of the sales from it to help out the US Defenders/COIR programs!

Biker Living is pulling it all together with a few fun biker cookin' pics... and we've decided we're gonna call it ROAD GRUBB... we're hoping to get it together in time to go on sale in time for Christmas 2011 gifts.

From quick & easy recipes to short & sweet reviews of your favorite road side eateries... mention what you loved best off their menus and if you don't have a recipe for it, we'll find a good one to match up with it... this isn't just a cookbook, we'll entertain and inspire each other too... so c'mon, I KNOW a bunch of you know how to cook and have some fun things to share... I'm looking for your favorite stuff... heck, we'll even accept Road Grubb poetry! Email your Road Grubb entry to bikerliving@yahoo.com (ASAP)

70% of the net proceeds will be donated to the US Defenders & COIR. Thanks for your help, quick replies make a difference!

Road Trips in themselves are a challenge sometimes, what with all the gear to pack, clothes to layer, maps to route... never mind
what and where to eat... so how about us Biker Living readers/writers and friends, getting together some ideas about that... where and what to eat...

I'd love to compile your short and sweet little articles about some of your favorite eateries along any routes you've ridden, anywhere... and if your fa...vorite spot means you're the cook or maybe a friend was, how about including a few recipes too?

I can imagine the back yard or rallies stories and recipes to go with the grubb you cooked with your ridin' buddies... or maybe a great tale of your favorite grubb stop and review of your favorite meal there... intermingled these two very differnt kinds of stories will give us a lot of grubb info and be entertaining too...

I'd love to make this a little book we could print and share as gifts... so be sure to include photos if ya have 'em.. 70% of the net proceeds from sales of "Road Grubb' would be donated to the US Defenders and COIR programs that help all bikers in this country!.

Are you in?

Email bikerliving@yahoo.com and put Road Grubb in the subject line to RSVP.

I found a few suggestions on how to make sure this turns out great for everyone... and of course we want folks to know where all this great info came from, so see the following to help make your recipe or article submission all it can be...
* Be sure to name each recipe
* Include the name of the contributor of the recipe
* Include the serving size
* The oven temperature
* Ingredients listed in the order in which they are added
* The cooking directions
* Any serving instructions

Testimonials... just something short and sweet, a quick story or review is what we're looking for... and pics too if you have 'em! Of you, the grubb, the cook or establishment if that applies!
